Job Description
Location: Winter Park, FL 32789 – WFH Flexible
Onsite 1-2x per month for training and meetings
Pay: $55-65K based on experience
Job description:
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, staying updated on changes.
- Code surgeries and office E/M records accurately (>96% accuracy) within turnaround time.
- Analyze provider documentation for coding accuracy, following appropriate guidelines.
- Address claim denials and rejections, implementing corrective actions and educational programs.
- Evaluate and report on coding accuracy, following CMS, OIG, and other agency guidelines.
- Conduct audits, prepare reports, and provide education/training on coding and regulatory requirements.
- Assist providers and schedulers with preauthorization, respond to inquiries, and perform follow-up reviews and additional training as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have coding certification in active status.
- Must have (3) years of surgical coding and E/M procedures with ENT and head and neck surgeries.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background check required.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Certification Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Registered Health Information Management (RHIA)
