Pay: $90K-$95K

Job description:
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with suppliers while offering valuable feedback on their performance.
  • Oversee supplier diversity initiatives, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal inventory availability.
  • Employ diverse cost reduction strategies in negotiations with suppliers to achieve significant cost savings.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of purchase price variances to monitor and document cost-saving achievements.
  • Safeguard a $10 million inventory, strategically minimizing obsolete and excess stock to enhance inventory turnover.
  • Implement pricing strategies to align with profit margin objectives and uphold accurate price coding.
  • Manage and update Bill of Materials for production items, contributing to efficient production processes.
  • Take charge of semi-annual physical inventory procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain Special Pricing Agreements (SPA) for customers, ensuring consistency and adherence to agreements.
  • Provide effective supervision to two direct reports, guiding their purchasing activities in line with company policies.
  • Monitor and optimize departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with overarching company goals.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required, contributing to informed decision-making processes.

Nice to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CPIM/CSCP certification 
  • Sage 100
  • Water filtration experience
  • Query/SQL

Requirements:
  • Must have (5) years of purchasing management
  • Must have experience coming from a production environment
  • Must be willing to work hands-on
  • Advanced MS Excel:  Pivot tables, V/HLOOKUP, VI upload
  • Background check required
  • Drug screening required
