Expected Outcomes:
Week 1 – Understand day-to-day and general workload, company culture
30 Days – Learn and understand the nuances of multi-state system, taxes, etc.
60 Days – Should feel comfortable being relied on by both payroll and accounting department.
90 Days - Able to cover all aspects of the department, and neighboring departments.

Job Description:
- Updating and harmonizing payroll and accounting records, including the general ledger and tax documentation
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in payroll
- Managing the allocation of payroll general ledger accounts across multiple entities
- Conducting reconciliations of funding for net pay, garnishments, and payroll taxes across systems
- Executing precise tax withholdings
- Compiling payroll and tax reports for federal, state, and local authorities as needed
- Ensuring adherence to government regulations regarding payroll and taxes
- Participating in payroll audits, encompassing quarterly and year-end finalizations
- Preparing accounting documentation, records, and timetables
- Assessing the company's payroll system and proposing enhancements
- Concluding various HR/Payroll initiatives promptly
- Fulfilling additional responsibilities as assigned
Nice to have:
- FPC or CPP
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting (or related) or relative experience
Requirements:
- Must have (1) recent year in a payroll accounting position (must have handled both payroll and accounting)
- Basic understanding of taxes
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check required
- Drug screening required
