Job Description
Location: Winter Park, 32789 - Hybrid
Hybrid - must be able to come onsite for meetings up to 4x a month
Pay: $24-30/hour
Pay range will depend on level of experience with ENT surgery + E/M and if candidate has experience with ancillary services such as Allergy, Audiology, PT, CT, and SLP services.
Type: Contract to Hire

Job duties:
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations through meticulous adherence.
- Code surgeries and office E/M records with procedures accurately at a minimum of 96% accuracy and within specified turnaround times.
- Analyze provider documentation to ensure coding accuracy, understanding payer billing rules, and supporting compliance with reimbursement guidelines.
- Address claim denials and rejections through coding or medical necessity appeals, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate and report on the accuracy of various coding elements, preparing audit findings reports and providing education and training to ensure compliance and revenue integrity.
- Must be flexible for other duties as assigned: As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
Nice to have:
- Otolaryngology experience a plus
- ENT experience a plus
- Multi-location experience
- At least three years' work experience in a medical billing surgical coding and auditing role preferred
Requirements:
- 2+ years of coding experience
- Must have surgery coding experience
- CPC Certification or CPMA Certification required
- Audit and surgery experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Background check required
