JOB ID – Medical Billing Representative

Location: Celebration, FL 34747 – This position is onsite

Pay: $19.00 to $21.00+ per hour, depending upon experience

Type:  Contract to hire

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Job description:
  1. Assist with patient phone calls, including outreach regarding past-due balances.
  2. Manage and resolve insurance denials, including those related to medical records and workers’ compensation (WC) claims.
  3. Post payments accurately and maintain up-to-date account records.
  4. Collaborate with coders and physicians to address coding discrepancies and reduce future claim denials.
  5. Work payer accounts receivable (A/R), submit supporting documentation for claim resolution, and escalate unresolved issues to the Billing Manager as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must have (2) years of experience working AR denials.
  • Must be able to read EOB and understand difference between co-pay, deductible, co-insurance. 
  • Must be familiar with medical coding.
  • Employer will perform testing: Billing test is required.
  • Background check required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
