Job Description
Location: Tampa, FL – WFH Flexible
About (1) day onsite weekly
Pay: Starting at $90K DOE
Type: Direct hire
Job description:
- Mentor benefit specialist team, set goals, and monitor progress.
- Streamline processes, propose cost-saving measures.
- Recommend training for regulatory compliance and skill enhancement.
- Ensure timely customer service and issue resolution.
- Manage employee benefits programs: medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Handle benefit escalations for employees and third parties.
- Ensure compliance with regulations like COBRA, ERISA, ACA.
- Conduct benefits audits and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist in annual open enrollment coordination and educational meetings.
- Administer benefit changes: enrollments, terminations, claims, etc.
- Create and distribute benefit communication materials.
- Stay updated on benefit and leave administration trends and regulations.
- Develop user guides and process documentation.
- Provide prompt and excellent customer service.
Nice to have:
- ADP preferred
- PHR
- CEBS
- 4-year degree in HR or equivalent
Requirements:
- 5+ years of benefit administration with knowledge of compliance.
- 5+ years managing multistate leaves such as (FMLA, Military, STD, LTD, PLOA, etc.) including requests, approvals, tracking, coordinating, and benefit billing.
- Must have 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience working with HRIS/Payroll systems
- MS Excel skills – Expert
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Background check required
- Drug screening required
