Job ID 21900 – Human Resources Generalist

Location:  Tampa, 33626 – This position is onsite

Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 yearly

Type: Contract to hire

Schedule:  M-F, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Job description:
  1. Recruitment, Onboarding/Offboarding & Staffing Coordination: Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and coordinate recruitment efforts, primarily through staffing agencies for contract-to-perm or direct-hire roles. Support entry-level hiring via the iSolved HR platform integrated with Indeed. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for all employees.
  2. Employee Relations, Performance Management & Organizational Development: Serve as a trusted resource for resolving employee concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring adherence to HR policies. Support performance management by transitioning from annual reviews to quarterly micro-reviews aligned with incentive plans. Assist in developing review templates and incentive structures for teams without current systems in place. Participate in the rollout of EOS/Traction across all levels of the organization.
  3. Compensation, Benefits & PEO Coordination Coordinate with a Tampa-based PEO for payroll, benefits, and compliance, leveraging HR attorney access when needed. Assist with benefits renewals, open enrollment sessions, Aflac updates, and 401(k) semi-annual enrollments. Ensure competitive and compliant compensation and benefits offerings.
  4. Training, Engagement & Wellness Initiatives: Identify training needs and support employee development through monthly sessions and external wellness seminars (e.g., Tampa General Health). Drive engagement through events such as Spirit Week, luncheons, family summer outings, and an annual holiday party. Manage Wellable wellness platform and related employee challenges throughout the year.
  5. Compliance, Data Reporting & Multi-State HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports using platforms like Insight Software to assess productivity. Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple states (e.g., CA, IN, NC, IA) and prepare for FMLA implications as the organization nears 50 employees. Support consistent application of HR policies and legal compliance company-wide.

Requirements:
  • Must have (4)+ years of recent experience in a Human Resources experience
  • Must have formal training in the field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background check is required
