Job Description

Job ID 20057 – Administrative Assistant

Location: St. Petersburg, 33701 – This position is onsite

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Type:  Contract-to-hire

Schedule:  Monday to Friday 9am -5pm 

Job description:
  • Train under experienced underwriters to learn the insurance underwriting process.
  • Educate agents on various coverages as part of ongoing learning and development.
  • Review, manage, and prioritize requests for insurance quotes from agents.
  • Work closely with agents to gather and compile necessary information for quote preparation.
  • Manage quotes and explain coverage details to agents effectively.
  • Prioritize the workload of new and renewal policies based on urgency and deadlines.
  • Manage communication channels with agents and insurance carriers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Submit risks and insurance applications to carriers for underwriting review.
  • Collaborate with carriers to negotiate and secure appropriate coverage for insured clients.

Requirements:
  • Must have (2) years of recent experience in administrative support
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background check required
