Hours:  Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Job duties:  
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable Coordinator
  • Supervise and administer the overall financial accounting operations, which encompass responsibilities such as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate in financial audit endeavors conducted quarterly and annually for corporate financial control assessments.
  • Evaluate existing methodologies and processes, and offer suggestions for enhancements.
  • Create, assess, and scrutinize financial statements to guarantee their precision and comprehensiveness.
  • Undertake specialized analyses and projects as required.
  • Direct or oversee functions related to the general ledger accounting.
  • Foster the development of the team by monitoring performance, establishing objectives, delivering ongoing training, and nurturing strong employee relationships.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure the accurate and timely conclusion and reporting at the end of the fiscal year.
  • Must be flexible for other duties as assigned:  As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
 
Nice to have: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Ophthalmology and/or Optical experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience
 
Requirements:
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Must be MS Office proficient 
  • Willing to travel as needed to various locations (will be reimbursed for mileage)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Background check required
  • Drug screening required
