Summary: This position for a small company is an excellent opportunity to lead team, work on CI efforts and process improvements, and implement efficiencies.
Job duties:
- The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all business functions and financial processes and procedures of the organization
- They are heavily involved in annual budgets, revenue and expenses, financial reporting, supervision of bookkeeping and accounts payable/accounts receivable, and the annual audit
- Administration and financial management of the organization, including financial analysis, creation, presentation and management of annual budget
- Enhancement of financial reporting systems and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for review
- Oversight of all accounting functions (outside-bookkeeper, accounts payable, reporting systems, annual audit, grants administration, payroll, credit card responsibilities, onboarding, etc.) to ensure financial stability and integrity, compliance with approved use of funds, government regulations, GAAP standards, regulatory requirements, and rules for non-profits
- Strategic and hands-on leadership over all financial reports and data on financial issues impacting the organization
- Development/updating of financial processes and procedures to effectively address the organization’s growth, challenges and needs
- Evaluation/update and maintenance of document management and other information/technology systems to increase organizational efficiency
- Supervision and oversight of staff and systems integral to the financial health of the organization and the team.
- Must be flexible for other duties as assigned: As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of progressive financial management and supervisory experience
- MUST have nonprofit OR Government accounting experience
- MUST have QuickBooks experience
- Accounting or related degree required
- Present a roadmap of process improvements at (6) months
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Background check required
