Pay: $80,000-$85,000 
 
Hours:  M-F 8-5

Job duties:  
  • Overseeing a centralized payroll department, this role involves managing a team of 5 or more employees responsible for payroll preparation/processing. The scope extends to related tasks, including tax reporting, benefits-records administration, and maintenance of payroll systems.
  • Designs and oversees payroll information systems
  • Manages data collection, calculation, and entry processes
  • Reviews and approves changes in exemptions, insurance, savings, job titles, and transfers
  • Directs employee payments through debit cards or electronic transfers
  • Compiles reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Approves calculations of federal and state income, social security taxes, and employer payments
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies to balance accounts
  • Responds to inquiries and requests for payroll information
  • Writes and updates payroll policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements and advises management on actions needed
  • Maintains confidentiality of payroll operations to uphold employee confidence
  • Participates in educational workshops and professional societies to enhance knowledge
  • Coordinates and assigns tasks to payroll staff, ensuring follow-up on work results
  • Recruits, selects, orients, and trains payroll employees
  • Calculates bonuses based on pay plans and accounting principles
  • Manages complex pay plans for legal and procedural compliance
  • Understands internal control concepts and processes to mitigate risks
  • Attends all company-required meetings
  • Must be flexible for other duties as assigned:  As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
  
Nice to have:
  • UKG Experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 

Requirements:
  • Must have (5)+ years of payroll experience
  • (3) years of experience managing employees (About a team of 5 is most ideal)
  • Multi-State Payroll
  • Understand Payroll Tax
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Background check required
  • Drug screening required
