Location: Odessa, 33556 - This position is onsite
 
Pay: $20/hr

Schedule: M-Th 10am-7pm,  F 9am-6pm
 
Type: Direct hire 

 
Job duties:  
  • Reviewing account information for previous communication and/or previously known payment objections prior to contact attempt
  • Contact customers with past due accounts and attempt to either collect the past due payments or negotiate a suitable payment plan
  • This process often requires reviewing the account information and/or asking probing questions of the consumer to better understand potential objections to payment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contacts, attempted contacts, payment arrangements and other pertinent information with delinquent account customers through our communication channels
  • Leave messages for customers informing them of contact points via a mandated script
  • Utilize a scripted opening when the right party is reached
  • This includes identifying the customer, identifying, and asking for payment on the account
  • Utilize payment options (credit cards, direct checks) and secure this information for future reference
  • Process payments and submit account adjustments accordingly
  • Utilize various skip tracing techniques and collection strategies to locate rights parties
  • Utilize payment options (credit cards, direct checks) and secure this information for future reference
  • Must be flexible for other duties as assigned:  As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
  
Nice to have:
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English
  • Sales
  • Financing industry experience (loans/credit cards)
 
Requirements:
  • Must have relevant collections experience
  • Must have knowledge of home and auto loan financing
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Background check required
